Andy Waller is a partner and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Encore Pavement. He was one of the original founders of SPS Pavement in April of 2005, before merging the company and co-founding Encore Pavement with Josh Clevenger and Collin Stieben in 2020. We appreciate his dedication to the company!
Andy Waller serves as our CEO at Encore Pavement and is responsible for implementing our strategic vision, instilling core values, improving operational efficiency, and leading business development and growth initiatives. Andy’s work ethic and customer commitment have resulted in many long-lasting partner relationships. Get to know Andy through the quick interview below!
What do you like about working for Encore Pavement?
I genuinely enjoy coming to work every day because of the incredible team we have assembled at Encore Pavement. When you surround yourself with great people, the work team becomes a family. We care about each other, help each other in our professional and personal lives, and above all, we work well together. We have crushed some of our most ambitious goals together over the years, and we’re just getting started.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
One of the most rewarding aspects of my position at Encore Pavement is the interaction with our customers. I consider many of our best customers to be great friends. Our team is 100 percent committed to creating the ultimate experience for our customers every time they need us, no matter how small or large their project may be. Our customers know that they can “pass the baton” to our team, and their needs will be handled promptly and professionally.
What are some of your favorite hobbies and activities?
I enjoy coaching my three boys in football, basketball, and baseball and teaching them all about work ethic. I tend to get overly passionate when I coach due to my competitive nature, which sometimes leads to apologies to the parents and my wife. They don’t seem to mind the intensity, though, and the kids learn a lot!
What is something you like to do in your spare time?
I am very easily entertained with a fishing pole, some craft beer, a campfire, and a hot dog.
What will people be surprised to know?
People will be surprised to know that I listen to all types of music. I can enjoy anything from red dirt country music to classic rock to hip hop, just as long as the music is loud, especially during a Kansas City Chiefs tailgate!
