Milling
What Is Milling?
When an asphalt surface sustains minor damage, you don’t necessarily need to perform a full excavation. It’s very likely that you only need to replace the top layer. This process is called milling and is quicker and more affordable than a full replacement.
The Process
Preparation
We remove obstructions and debris before evaluating the existing pavement’s condition.
Milling
We remove the top layer of asphalt and grind it so it can be used to create the new layer.
Surface Repair
We identify damages areas of the subgrade and repair them to strengthen the foundation for new asphalt.
Application
We apply and compress the fresh asphalt.
Finishing & Marking
We apply line striping and other road markings.
