Doug Vogt is a senior project manager and estimator at Encore Pavement. With more than 20 years of pavement construction experience, he brings a very high level of expertise to the Encore Pavement team. Doug is intricately involved in the planning, management and completion of nearly all of our most complex and challenging projects. In addition, he is involved with project estimating, day-to-day field log management and maintaining internal estimating and job costing data.
When Doug is involved, there is always a detailed strategic plan from start to finish, and his communication skills to lay out his vision to the construction crews is top-notch. Tell us about your role at Encore Pavement.
I use my knowledge and experience to look for ways to streamline processes and procedures and to look for and anticipate potential challenges. I am passionate about learning and always actively searching for knowledge.
What do you like about working for Encore Pavement?
Encore Pavement has a wide variety of customers, which gives us opportunities to do some different and interesting projects.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and family but especially spoiling my grandchildren. I also like to read and get lost in a good bit of fiction.
What will people be surprised to know?
People will be surprised to know that I am a Cowboy at heart but also somewhat of a sci-fi nerd.
